Last night was a blast!
Great 3 on 3 pick up games, the flying Italian was getting used to the railroad ties behind the goal. PC boys killing it like usual, man Colin was flyin up and down the court slammin that ball around and his big brother Mark scored a beautiful sleeper goal and is picking things up nicely.
The Lights stayed on till 11, I think they stay on for the Tennis players so I hope those tennis dudes and dudettes stay late every Thursday.
We found out Park City has a public inline hockey rink....uh HELLO!
We are thinking about a Memorial day open. Either Liberty or maybe break in the PC rink properly.
Sound off if your into it. Comment here, send me an e mail, or if you read this later this weekend shoot me a text 801-558-6694 (I don't have the interweb at home).

So in non polo related news, Velo City Bags made mainstream hipster news on Prolly for there new pedal straps.
Great to see a local company making a sting on the main line. Keep it up Velo City.

The bar is rising
Great matches last night!
I swear one of the rally's lasted longer than the first game, you gotta love it. Chuck was killing it last night and had an amazing wizard shot (unofficial new nick name for chuck) parallel with the goal and spun it in to win the final match of the night.
Dan was rockin the amazing ball handling skills as usual. Dan, Stefano, Joe, Craig, and Mark won the gut wrenching 5-4 game...it was quite disappointing seeing that final goal go in.
We had a good turn out 10 people in total so there was good 5 on 5 action and I even remember some spectators hanging out taking video and pictures. The fame is growing!!!!
It looks we will have some people show up to Thursday Hardcourt night. We are going to start play at 8 this time but I will be there around 7 to clean up the court. Last time there was a lot of debris and even some glass hangin around there. Hopefully the Park City crew shows up again.
Please send me an e mail if you have any questions or even just leave a comment.
I am an addict... of the drug called bicycle polo.
P.S. Chuck took some video of the action I will see if I can post it up here soon.

And it begins!
Well I guess we will get to business.
Welcome! This is here to inform the public, not just SLC but all of Utah, that polo is here (it has been for a long time but underground) and is going to get big. We will inform you of local games and local/out of state tournaments the should be fun to go to.
These are a great group of guys to play with, a bunch of hardened veterans who love the sport and love newcomers. The games are taken serious enough to be really competitive but not so much that it takes all the fun out of it. We are open to newbies and hardened veterans (I am very much a newbie and very addicted also).
What do you need to bring you ask? You need your bike (any bike works fine, all it needs are two wheels handle bars and at least one brake. Probably not a good idea to bring really nice bikes it does get a little rough). HELMET capitalized for emphasis cool points are awarded for the raddest helmets, Dan wins this one no doubt, and well you don't even get to play without it. I also suggest a pair of gloves it will help hold on to the mallet and protects the digits. There are some mallets that are brought to the games but it is also really fun to make your own.
Salt Lake City Polo
Grass Tuesday night - 7:00/7:30 till we get tired. Games will be held at Liberty Park (1300 South 700 East) on the grass field in the center of the park. Enter from the 1300 South entrance and turn into the parking lot in the middle of the park.
Hardcourt - Thursday night 8:00 till we get tired (or kicked out). Games will be held at Liberty Park on the Hand Ball court between the Tennis courts and the pool. Enter from the 900 South entrance and park near the Tennis courts.
We are looking into getting Hardcourt games on the weekend also Saturday or Sunday it will all depend on how many people get into it. If you are into the idea comment or send an e mail so we can see how it goes. I would love to get this thing big enough we can have games almost everynight of the week.
I will slowly start to add a few extras to the blog here maybe some how too's, rules, and other cool stuff. I hope this helps the sport grow in Utah we really need it.
Thanks for reading the first post of the Salt Lake City Polo blogastavaganza tell all about it and lets get this partay started!
